This installation is homage to the festivals 9th edition of Summerwell. It represents a transformative evolution of wander and human connection in a creative space this festival has matured into. This site specific installation represents the evolution of the creative.
Located in front of the lake, the juxtaposition between location and artwork represents the flow of good vibes and peaceful energy. Four interconnected face silhouettes at the front of the installation are a representation of people coming together for the SummerWell festival experience.
At the center of the installation is an arched gateway with homage to the 19th century architecture of the Știrbei Palace where the festival grounds is set. Like clockwork in the human mind, the kinetic movement triggered by people on the swings, serve as a way for us to think about the human connections we make as each set of swings pass each other. The art is about celebrating people, their relationships/ connections and creating memorable experiences. With a sense of nostalgia we hope to bring the users back to the light hearted feelings we had as children. By maintaining movement, this is a representation of keeping our minds feeling alive, the same as clockworks.
